  1. An Evening with Michael Perry

    September 25, 2019, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Community Room

The Elm Grove Library welcomes New York Times bestselling author, humorist and radio show host Michael Perry for an evening of humorous and heartfelt stories based on his life in rural Wisconsin. Perry’s bestselling memoirs include Population: 485, Truck: A Love Story, Coop, Visiting Tom, and Montaigne in Barn Boots: An Amateur Ambles Through Philosophy. Raised on a small Midwestern dairy farm, Perry put himself through nursing school while working on a ranch in Wyoming, then detoured into writing. He also hosts the nationally-syndicated “Tent Show Radio,” performs widely as a humorist, and tours with his band the Long Beds. He lives with his wife and two daughters in rural Wisconsin, where he serves on the local volunteer fire and rescue service and is an intermittent pig farmer. This event is free to attend. Space is limited and registration is required. Registration begins September 3.
