Dear Library Friends,

We hope you are as excited as we are about the Library’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, to be held on Saturday, February 11, at the Elm Grove Woman’s Club  This promises to be a very special evening, filled with library friends (the best kind!), wonderful food, fun entertainment and an array of raffle prizes guaranteed to tempt you.  Are you feeling lucky?!?!

The theme of the evening is “Love Your Library,” a nod to how strongly Elm Grove has supported its library for the past half- century, as well as to Valentine’s Day.  If you normally celebrate the occasion by going out to eat with your sweetheart, this dinner is for you!  Catered by Chris Skibinski of Grove Catering, the menu features four different serving stations designed to take your taste buds on an adventure, much like a good book does for your mind!

A sneak preview for you!  Choose from:

              --the Pasta Station, with two fresh pastas and a choice of four delicious sauces, complimented with garlic toast and a Caesar salad;

              --the Stir Fry Station with wok-prepared stir fried vegetables and your choice of Cashew Chicken or Sesame Soy Steak on scallion brown rice;

              --the Carving Station featuring Apple Cranberry and Vidalia-Stuffed Pork Loin with Sweet Mustard Glaze; and

              --the Flat Grill Station with freshly prepared Canadian Walleye Cakes with wild rice.

Or try a little of everything!

Tickets are $95.00, or $190.00 per couple, and include everything that night.  $50.00 of each ticket is fully tax-deductible.  Extra invitations are available at the library – you may pick one up, or simply email the Library Director, Svetlana Foley, at sfoley@elmgrove.lib.wi.us, and indicate how many people would like to attend.

So round up your friends, whether they’re book lovers or Nook lovers, and join us for an evening to remember.  Here’s to another 50 years of Loving our Library!!

Sincerely,

Jill Varick

FOEGL President

p.s.  Be sure to stop by the Library to check out the display of gift baskets—many of them featuring Elm Grove businesses—that will be raffled off.  Tickets can be bought at the Library anytime before Feb. 11 (you need not be present to win) or the evening of the dinner.  This is a fundraiser for the Library, so spread the word to your friends!
